Crews, Adams Win ACC Titles; M. Track & Field Second

The NC State men's track and field team is in second place heading into the final day of competition at the 2008 ACC Indoor Championships. Senior's John Crews and Dexter Adams won ACC titles to lead the team, with Adams taking the long jump and Crews winning the 5,000m. NC State has 30 team points and trails Florida State by five points.
Crews' title was his first career ACC Championship and was the Wolfpack's 10th ever in the 5,000m.
NC State had three runner qualify for the finals in the mile. Chris Kollar, the league's leader in the mile, was second in the prelims with a time of 4:12.21. Eric Mack had the sixth fastest time in the prelims and will run in the finals of the mile, as well. Stephen Furst was ninth in the mile and will compete in the finals.
A'Tolani Akinkuotu had the second fastest time in the 60m dash prelims with a 6.71. Reggie Reese was eighth with a time of 6.85 in the prelims of the 60m and will compete in the finals on Saturday.
Reese narrowly missed the top-8 of prelims for a spot in the finals of the 200m with a ninth place showing and a time of 22.15.
Freshman Bobby Moldovan added a team point for the Pack with a eighth place finish in the 5,000m in a time of 14:43.87.
