Hardiman Earns Second Straight EAGL Rookie of the Week

NC State gymnast Brittney Hardiman was named EAGL Rookie of the Week for the second straight week after strong performances in the all-around. Hardiman, a freshman from Apopka, Fla., was third in the all-around against UNC and had the fourth best vault at Georgia with a 9.850.
She competed in the all-around twice last week, scoring a 38.600 at No. 1 Georgia and a 39.050 at No. 21 North Carolina. Her top scores came on vault, 9.850 and 9.825, respectively, and placed her fourth on the event at both meets. She managed a career-best 9.775 on the beam in Chapel Hill for second on the team and third-place overall.
No. 24 NC State returns to the gym on Saturday, Feb. 16th, as it hosts the Sweetheart Invitational. No. 18 Penn State, No. 25 Kent State and William & Mary will make the trip to Raleigh for the annual affair.
