Montgomery, Blackmon Pace Pack at Two Meets

Lauren Montgomery was sixth in the 400 meters with the eighth fastest performance in school history at the Virginia Tech Elite meet and Angelina Blackmon finished ninth in the 800 meters at the New Balance Collegiate Invite. NC State women's track and field wrapped up competition at both of the two-day events.
Montgomery's time of 57.13 was a career-best and made her the eighth fastest performer in the school history. It was the 10th-fastest time in the ACC this season.
Blackmon was ninth in the 800 meters with a 2:10.63, her second straight weekend with a 2:10 in the event. Her 2:10.26 last weekend was the second fastest in the ACC.
NC State will head to Chapel Hill for the Carolina Invite in its next meet.
