Volleyball Continues Road Swing

RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State volleyball team will continue ACC play this weekend with road matches at Virginia Tech and Virginia. The Pack will take on the Hokies in Blacksburg, Va., on Friday, Nov. 7 later battling the Cavaliers in Charlottesville, Va., on Saturday, Nov. 8. Both matches begin at 7 p.m.
NC State owns a 9-19 (3-10 ACC) record with Arlee Tamietti fronting the offensive load on 274 kills and 23 service aces. Alex Smith has 796 assists, while Kelly Wood owns 406 digs. Aiwane Iboaya is just three blocks shy of 100 on the year.
Virginia Tech (17-7 / 8-5 ACC) has lost four of its last five contests, yet remains tied for fifth in the conference with Miami. UVa (13-12 / 5-8 ACC), which fell to the Pack by a 3-1 score earlier this year in Raleigh, is ninth in the league standings. The Cavaliers have dropped three straight since taking back-to-back home contests from Wake Forest and Miami.
Following this weekend NC State will play its next four bouts in the friendly confines of historic Reynolds Coliseum.
