Em's Blog: Season Underway (11/4/08)

Hey loyal wolfpack fans,
Since the last blog post, the season has officially started. Practice is underway and we are on our way to seasonal play. Official practice started two weeks ago and we have worked extremely hard learning the plays, and working together to get ourselves prepared for our first scrimmages. With that said, this past Monday we had our first scrimmage against our scout guys (practice players) and this showed us a lot of our strengths and weaknesses that we need to capitalize and work on. We will continue to practice and make improvements for our exhibition game scheduled for November 5th against Premier Players.
Just a couple of weeks ago the team was recognized at the Florida State football game. We really enjoyed this because not only did we get into the game free; we had great to seats to watch a great football game. During the third quarter we went down on the field along with our coaches and were announced to the whole stadium. It was very cool to see all the fans cheering and showing their support for our program. Also before the game, we were allowed to go on the field during warm-ups. It was awesome to get that up-close and personal feel to the game.
Not only do we support the football team, we also attended the men’s basketball red and white game to show our support. It was great to get a look at what’s to come for our men's season.
With the season starting, we are ready to get into season play and show what we have been working on! Keep posted because there is a lot to come in the next two weeks!! Come on out and catch the latest version of the Wolfpack women this Wednesday at Reynolds Coliseum at 7 p.m.
