Volleyball to End Season at UNC on Friday

RALEIGH, N.C. NC State volleyball will play its final match of the 2008 season this coming Friday, Nov. 28 against North Carolina. Play is slated to being at 1 p.m. in Chapel Hill. The Pack enters the match at 9-25 (3-16 ACC).

Arlee Tamietti continues to lead the team in both kills (318) and service aces (28), while Alex Smith has the most assists (959). Aiwane Iboaya has 119 blocks, while Kelly Wood has amassed 475 digs.

North Carolina (20-10 / 14-5 ACC) got shutout at home by Florida State this past Friday after winning nine-straight. Lauren Prussing has 290 kills, while Stephanie Jansma posts 683 assists. Brianna Eskola has amassed 555 digs and Heather Brooks owns 102 blocks.

The match will mark the last of Iboaya’s career. State’s lone senior, she stands 10th in school history for career blocks with 315. She also owns 613 career kills. This year the St. Joseph, Mo., native leads the team in blocks with 119 and is second in kills with 224.
