DON'T GET TOWED ON FOOTBALL GAME DAY:
This is a reminder of football game day parking regulations. Vehicles parking in game day parking lots and not properly displaying a valid game day permit will be cited and towed at the owner's expense. Vehicles parking outside of marked spaces, on the landscape or sidewalks, in fire lanes or reserved spaces, etc. will also be ticketed and towed. Towing fees range from $90 to $110 and citations range from $20 to $250.
Game day parking restrictions go into affect in gated lots at 5 p.m. on football Fridays (e.g., Rams Head Deck, Public Safety Lot, Craige Deck, McCauley Deck, Cobb Deck, Steele Lot, Caldwell Lot, etc.). Game day restrictions will remain in affect until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Game day parking restrictions go into affect for S12 Lots and Williamson Lot/Drive at 5 p.m. on football Fridays and remain in affect until 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Game day parking restrictions go into affect at 8 a.m. on Saturday for all other game day parking lots (e.g., Bowles Lot, Manning Lot, Dean E. Smith Lot, Ehringhaus Lower Lot, Stadium Drive, Ridge Road, Navy Field, Law Programs, Law School Lot, Highway 54 Lot, Park Place, Bynum Lot, Undergraduate Library Lot, Wilson Lot, Bell Tower Lot, Nash Lot, Swain Lot, and Morehead Lot, etc.) Game day restrictions will remain in affect until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Additionally, it is illegal for students or employees to park in visitor parking spaces or parking lots without a valid exclusionary permit. Student and employee vehicles caught parking illegally in visitor spaces and/or lots can be and will be cited and towed at the owner's expense. It is also an honor court violation for students to park in visitor spaces/lots. Doing so is misrepresentation. Visitor spaces and visitor lots are reserved specifically for UNC Campus and UNC Hospitals visitors.
Students who normally park off-campus during the weekdays and bring vehicles to campus on Friday nights are discouraged from doing so, unless the vehicles can be removed from campus by 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.
There will be NO PARKING lots on campus available for football visitors until 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 22nd when game day public pay parking will be opened at the Manning Lot, Jackson Deck and Cardinal Deck.
