Men's Soccer Hosts Longwood Wednesday Night

RALEIGH, N.C. The NC State men’s soccer team will play its final non-conference game of the season, as the Wolfpack plays host to the Longwood Lancers Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the NC State Soccer Stadium.
The Wolfpack sports a 5-8-1 record on the season, with four wins over the last six games. NC State has won its last three non-conference games, by a count of 14-4.
The Pack offense has scored 27 goals on the season, with juniors Ronnie Bouemboue and Alan Sanchez each nothing seven a piece. Sanchez also leads the squad with five assists and 19 points, and has scored five goals over the last five games.
Junior Christopher Widman has started the last 11 games in the Pack’s goal, pitching three shutouts and posting a GAA of 1.80 on the season.
Longwood enters the game with a record of 6-5-3 on the season. The Lancers have earned ties in their last two outings, last week at Virginia, 2-2, and this past weekend at Liberty, 1-1.
Harvey Headley leads the squad with five goals in the Lancer’s first nine games of the season, but he has not played in the last five contests. Joel Helmick has started every game but two in goal, and has a GAA of 1.29 on the season.
The Pack will have one final home contest after the Longwood affair, when the Pack will host Senior Night on Saturday against Virginia Tech.
