I’d like to share a letter I received recently from
It came from Major Zan Sellers, the brigade chaplain of Task Force Warrior at Bagram Air Field, thanking NC State and the Wolfpack Club for the goods that we collected on Military Appreciation Day. Those goods were collected by Back Home Box and sent to our troops overseas.
“We received your 20-plus boxes from the Wolfpack Club ... The boxes are great. Most of the stuff we sent out to the outlying Forward Operating Bases (FOBs). There are Army, Air Force and Marine members out there where they have no store and sometimes only prepackaged food. We sent all of the food since we have buffets here at ... Bagram Airfield.
“I really want to thank you for supporting our military. I have been around long enough and am old enough to know how hard this is on our military. I appreciate the American people sticking by the military, even those who may not like the current war. It takes your perseverance to support us here and we appreciate it. Different from the
“Again, thank you for allowing the Wolfpack Club to show us how supportive they are of us by allowing these packages to be sent to us. My assistant, Staff Sergeant Tracey Otto, sorts through all of the items and gets them to the right people. She is great at doing this.”
I would like to join Wolfpack Club Executive Director Bobby Purcell in saying “Thank you” to all NC State fans who contributed items that were collected. We want you to know that it does make a difference.
