Women's Soccer Entertains UNC Friday Night

The NC State women’s soccer team hosts long-standing rival and No. 2-ranked North Carolina on Friday night at NC State Soccer Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
N.C. State has an 8-7 overall record and a 0-5 mark in conference play. Lindsay Vera leads the Wolfpack in scoring with eight goals and five assists for 21 points, which is tied for fourth in the ACC.
Meredith Parrilla is tied for third in the ACC with six assists, while Gia Cipollini’s five helpers are tied for eighth.
Kim Kern has made 42 saves in eight games in goal for the Pack, while Rachel Barnette has come up with 34 in eight matches. The both rank in the top-3 in the league in saves per game.
North Carolina is riding an 11-match winning streak and is 13-1-1 overall, 6-0-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play. Casey Nogueira tops the ACC with 31 points on 13 goals and five assists.
