RALEIGH, N.C. Cullen Jones wins again.
The most recent GoPack.com poll asked NC State fans which former or current student-athlete had the best summer.
Was it Jones, who was part of the gold-medal 4x100-meter relay team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics?
Was it former basketball players Nate McMillan or Vinny Del Negro, both of whom reach career milestones this summer? McMillan was the assistant coach for Team USA, which won the gold medal in Beijing. Del Negro was named the head coach of the Chicago Bulls.
Was it Oakland As pitcher and former NC State All-American closer Joey Devine, who set a major league record for the lowest earned run average in history for a pitcher with 40 or more innings?
Or was it women's golfer Lauren Doughtie, who participated in the U.S. Public Links Championship, the U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur?
Jones was the over-whelming selection of the nearly 1,820 voters in the on-line poll.
