Women's Soccer Visits Virginia Thursday Night

The NC State women’s soccer team visits No. 11 Virginia on Thursday at Klckner Stadium. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. and the match will be broadcast live online by ACC Select.

The Wolfpack (8-3-0, 0-1-0 ACC) dropped its ACC opener Sunday at Duke, 3-0. ACC-leading scorer Lindsay Vera, who has eight goals, five assists and 21 total points, paces NC State.

The Cavaliers (8-1-1, 2-0-0 ACC) are coming off a pair of road wins last week to open conference play, topping Florida State 1-0 and Miami 2-0. Meghan Lenczyk scored the game-winning goal in both games. Lenczyk is tied with Vera for the conference lead with eight goals on the season, while Lauren Alwine, who assisted on both of Lenczyk's game-winners last week, is tied for the ACC lead with seven assists.

The Wolfpack is in the midst of four straight road conference matches. Next up is Sunday’s dual with Virginia Tech in Blacksburg at 1 pm, followed by Clemson next Thursday at 7 pm.
