W. Track & Field in Action at Clemson Invite

The NC State women's track and field squad is in 11th place after the opening day of the Clemson Invite in Clemson, S.C. The Wolfpack was led by DeMiracle Washington in the long jump as the Wolfpack competed in two events on Friday.
Washington finished seventh in both the prelims and finals, posting a top mark of 17'11.75", her second best distance of the season.
In addition, Njeri Wainaina finished 24th (16'05.34") in the event for the Pack.
In the 60m dash, Lauren Montgomery and Gabrielle Daniel paced the Red and White with times of 8.15 and 8.27, respectively.
The Clemson Invite continues Saturday, and split quad competition will begin at North Carolina on Saturday as well.
