Raleigh, N.C. Senior Hugh Cronin of the NC State men’s soccer team has just been named to Top Drawer Soccer’s National Team of the Week for his efforts in helping the Pack start the season with a pair of wins over the weekend.
Cronin, a third-year starter as a central defender, was part of a Pack defense that allowed just one goal in 180 minutes of action in wins over Valparaiso and Delaware in the Wolfpack Classic. The only returning defender from last season’s team, Cronin played the entire 90 minutes in both contests.
NC State returns to action this weekend, traveling to Durham, N.C., to take part in the Duke Adidas Classic. The Pack will face No. 22 St. Louis Friday at 5:00 p.m., then take on Villanova on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
