Men's Soccer Narrowly Falls at #6 BC, 2-1

Raleigh, N.C. After tying the game with less than five minutes remaining, the NC State men’s soccer team lost a heartbreak at No. 6 Boston College on Sunday afternoon, 2-1. The Wolfpack (3-3-3, 0-2-1 ACC) was down a goal most of the game until notching the tying score in the 86th minute. The Eagles (6-1-1, 3-0 ACC) answered however, with the gamewinning goal coming in the 88th minute.
Boston College opened the scoring with a goal by Shawn Chin in the 23rd minute of action. The score would remain at 1-0 all the way until the 86th minute.
NC State’s El Hadj Cisse notched his team leading third goal of the season at the 85:38 mark to tie up the score. Cisse made a sliding finish off a cross from sophomore Jorge Mora.
With less than two minutes remaining in regulation, Boston College’s Alejandro Bedoya headed in the final score to give the Eagles the home ACC win.
NC State keeper recorded seven saves, for a Pack team that played without starting defender Stanley Mathurin.
NC State will be back in action this Wednesday afternoon, hosting High Point at Method Road at 4:00 p.m.
