Men's Soccer Hosts Longwood Wednesday

Raleigh, N.C. The NC State men’s soccer team will wrap up its four-game homestand on Wednesday afternoon, hosting Longwood at 4:00 p.m. at Method Road. The Wolfpack enters this non-conference tilt with a record of 3-2-2, after tying No. 3 Virginia over the weekend. GoPack.com will have the pleasure of offering live stats.
The Cavaliers were the first team this season to score more than one goal in a game against the Pack this season. The starting defense of junior Stanley Mathurin, sophomore Orry Powers, and freshmen Lucas Carpenter and Tyler Lassiter are all new starters at their current positions this year. Sophomore Christopher Widman has started and played every minute in the Pack’s net thus far.
On offense, seniors Ernesto Di Laudo and El Hadj Cisse lead with squad with two goals apiece, with each scoring against Virginia. Sophomore Jorge Mora leads the team with three assists, while classmate Alan Sanchez picked up a pair of assists in the game against Virginia.
Longwood enters with a record of 2-3-1. The Lancers hold wins over Rider and North Florida this season, and are coming off a scoreless tie with Liberty.
