Men's Soccer Recruiting Class Ranked Nationally

Raleigh, N.C. The NC State men’s soccer incoming recruiting class has been tabbed No. 28 nationally by CollegeSoccerNews.com. A total of 14 newcomers will be joining the Wolfpack program this season, as the Pack is looking to replace four starters from last years squad.
According to ColllegeSoccerNews.com:
A very promising recruiting class that will join an NC State team that returns a solid core of players from the 2006 season. The marquee player of the class is goalkeeper Brandyn Bumpas who is an NSCAA Youth All-American with years of experience with the U.S. National Team program. Midfielder Kris Byrd is an ESP participant. Defender Lucas Carpenter and forward Graham Ford played club for the CASL Elite. Defender Tyler Lassiter is an ESP participant. Goalkeeper Will Mackvick is an NSCAA All-Region III team selection and was named the NSCAA Region 5 Player of the Year. Defender Stanley Mathurin is a transfer from Jefferson College where he was a 2006 NSCAA Junior College All-American.
The men’s soccer team will begin fall camp next week, and the preseason will culminate on August 24 with an exhibition game against preseason No. 1 UCLA. The game will take place at Method Road at 4:00 p.m.
The Pack’s season begins with the annual Wolfpack Classic. NC State will host Valparaiso on August 31 at 2:00 p.m., and then host Delaware on September 2 at 4:00 p.m., both games at Method Road.
