Gymnastics to Host 2009 NCAA Regional Championships

Raleigh, N.C. - NC State has earned the right to host the 2009 Gymnastics Regional Championships, to be held in Reynolds Coliseum on Saturday, April 4, 2009. This will be the second time the Wolfpack has hosted the Regional Championships, as back in 2004 NC State became the first school in the state of North Carolina to do so. A record crowd came to Reynolds that day, and made the event a success.
The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships. In addition, the event winners at the regional championships will advance to the national championships (in that event only) if they are not part of a qualifying team or an all-around qualifier.
