Guerra, Petrovic Fall at NCAA Doubles Championships

NC State's talented doubles duo of Alejandra Guerra and Daria Petrovic had their season come to an end as they fell in the opening round of the NCAA Individual Doubles Championship in Athens, Ga. No. 12-ranked Catrina Thompson and Christian Thompson of Notre Dame topped the Wolfpack duo 6-4, 6-0, ending Guerra and Petrovic's doubles season with a spring record of 17-7. Guerra and Petrovic were ranked No. 24 nationally heading into the doubles championships.

Guerra, a junior, and Petrovic, a freshman, will look to lead the Wolfpack next season as one of the top ACC tandems and two of the top singles players in the Wolfpack lineup. They were the first individuals to advance to the NCAA Championships in school history.
