Wolfpack Well Represented at US Women's Open Qualifying

SALISBURY, N.C. Two current NC State women’s golfers and two former Wolfpack stars made it through US Women’s Open local qualifying on Monday at the Country Club of Salisbury.
Lauren Doughtie, who just finished her sophomore season this past Saturday at the NCAA East Regional, fired a two-over 73.
Emily Street, who completed her freshman campaign this past weekend, fired an identical two-over 73.
Former Wolfpacker Lorraine Ballerano tied for sixth overall in the local qualifier with a one-over 72. Ballerano is currently playing on the FUTURES Tour and has competed in six tournaments this year. Her top finish is a tie for 15th at the Jalapeno Duramed FUTURES Golf Classic in McAllen, Texas.
Additionally, Molly Birmingham was named an alternate after shooting a four-over 75. She is also currently competing on the FUTURES Tour.
Also, rising sophomores Joanna Saleeby Kathleen Strandberg shot rounds of 76 and 79 respectively, but did not make the cut.
