RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State head women’s soccer coach Laura Kerrigan has announced her schedule for the 2007 season.
The upcoming season comes with great anticipation as both the men’s and women’s programs will play on their brand-new, on-campus soccer stadium.
The Wolfpack will have 11 home dates, including contests with Atlantic Coast Conference rivals Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Clemson and Wake Forest.
In addition, the Pack will host Davidson, William & Mary, Old Dominion, UMBC, Virginia Commonwealth and Frances Marion in non-conference matches.
The club will take part in a tournament at High Point University in early September. NC State will take on Campbell and the host Panthers.
The road conference slate includes dates at Miami, Florida State, Boston College, North Carolina and Maryland. NC State will also visit Elon in a non-conference tilt.
The Wolfpack will visit Villanova for a preseason game on August 21.
The regular season gets underway at home against in-state rival Davidson on Friday, August 31 at 7:30 pm.
The former location of Derr Track will be the new home of Wolfpack soccer, as well as the Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium.
The new soccer and track complex will be located on the heart of the NC State campus, off of Cates Avenue and Morrill Drive, allowing easier access to games for students, faculty and staff, and fans of the program.
