Men's Golf Completes First Round at Augusta

Raleigh, N.C. – The NC State men’s golf team, competing in its second tournament of the week, shot a seven-over par (295) in the first round at the Administaff ASU Invite being played at Augusta, Ga. this weekend. The Wolfpack had two players fire an even-par (72), and tie for 16^th after the first round.

Senior Jerry Richardson and sophomore Nathan Spoon each shot an even-par (72) in the first round. Richardson had three birdies, while Spoon had a team-high four birdies. Both players are in 16^th place in the individual standings, while NC State as a team is 10^th.

Chase Duncan shot a three-over par (75) on the day, while Andrew Byrd had a four-over par (76). Both had a pair of birdies on the day.

Round two will be played on Saturday, with the third round on Sunday
