Pair of Gymnasts Garner EAGL Weekly Honors

Raleigh, N.C. – A pair of NC State gymnasts were honored by the EAGL for their performances this past weekend in helping the Pack to its highest score of the season. Junior Leigha Hancock earned EAGL Specialist of the Week honors for the fourth time this year, and Taylor Seaman was named EAGL Rookie of the week for the second week in a row.
Hancock notched a season-high 9.90 score on beam for first place in the quad meet with Arizona, James Madison and William & Mary on March 9. She also scored a 9.875 on vault and a 9.775 on the floor. Hancock previously earned the title on January 23, February 20 and February 27.
\Seaman was named the EAGL Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row, and the third time overall. At a quad meet with Arizona, James Madison and William & Mary on March 9, Seaman set a new career-high of 39.275 in the all-around. This is the highest all-around score among all of the Wolfpack team this season. She was previously named Rookie of the Week on March 6 and January 23.
NC State will host its final home meet this Friday night against Pittsburgh at 7:00 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum.
