Pope Brings Home All-America Honors

Raleigh, N.C. - NC State's track and field teams brought home its second All-American honor in as many days, as senior Mitchell Pope earned All-America honors in the shot put on Saturday afternoon at the 2007 Indoor NCAA Championships held at Arkansas. Pope was seventh with a top heave of 63'03.25", and earned All-America honors in the indoor shot put for the second straight year.
On the women's side, a day after earning All-America honors in the 5,000 meters, senior Julia Lucas placed 13th in the finals of the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:24.48 on Saturday.
