Davis Named to 2006 All-ACC Academic Volleyball Team

RALEIGH, N.C. - Allison Davis of the NC State volleyball team has been named to the 2006 All-ACC Academic volleyball squad. The freshman setter from Cape Coral, Fla., played in 99 games for the Pack this season, leading the squad with 905 assists. Davis is a chemical engineering major.
"I am really excited for Allison," said head coach Charita J. Stubbs. "It was definitely tough coming to college, but being a starting setter, while holding herself to such high academic standards - that is a great combination. I am really proud of her."
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
NC State will kick off its spring in an event hosted by Duke on Saturday, March 24, in Durham, N.C. The following week, the team will compete at Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Saturday, March. 31, before ending its spring season the next Sunday, April 8, in Atlanta, Ga., at Georgia State.
