Hancock Snags EAGL Honor Second Straight Week

Raleigh, N.C. – For the second straight week, and the third time this season, junior Leigha Hancock of the NC State gymnastics team earned the EAGL Specialist of the Week honor.

Hancock recorded NC State’s top score in all three of her events at the Master’s Classic against No. 3 Stanford and No. 8 Nebraska on Sunday afternoon. She received a 9.80 on both vault and balance beam and a 9.875 on floor. She placed second on floor, third on beam and eight on vault overall.

Hancock currently ranks third in the EAGL on both vault and beam, and eighth on floor.

This is the third time this season that Hancock has received this honor, and the seventh time over the last two seasons.
