GREENSBORO, N.C. — NC State is the No. 4 seed in the upcoming 2007 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament, which will begin Thursday, March 1, at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.
The Wolfpack finished in a three-way tie for third place in the league standings at 10-4 with Maryland and Florida State. The Terrapins earned the No. 3 seed by virtue of tie breaking procedures, while the Seminoles take the fifth seed because NC State defeated them back on February 5 for head coach Kay Yow’s 700th win.
NC State will take on the winner of the No. 5 Florida State vs. No. 12 Wake Forest game, which takes place Thursday at 11 am.
Duke clinched the No. 1 seed as the Blue Devils finished the regular season undefeated for the first time in ACC and Duke history.
