This year, the Wolfpack Club has set its sights on reaching a new milestone. In January, “The Quest for 20,000” campaign kicked off, which is designed to have 20,000 annual donors in the Wolfpack Club for the calendar year.
“Our next challenge at NC State is to build upon our donor base in the Wolfpack Club. We would rather have a lot of members giving a little than to have a few members giving a lot. The grassroots support is our top priority, because that has been the strength of the Wolfpack Club since the beginning,” said Bobby Purcell, Executive Director. To help reach this milestone, the Wolfpack Club is asking for help from its current membership of 18,420. One of the major initiatives behind this campaign is for each active member of the Wolfpack Club to sign up one new member in 2007. Each member will receive $120 in credit for each new member he/she signs up. These signup forms will be sent to all members in March.
“Throughout the country, NC State has the reputation of having a passionate and loyal fan base. With the Wolfpack Club leading the charge to have 20,000 donors, this achievement would solidify our club as one of finest fund raising organizations in the country,” said Coach Tom O’Brien, Football Coach and current Wolfpack Club member.
Each year, the Wolfpack Club Caravan goes on the road across the state with its head coaches to talk about NC State Athletics. This year the Wolfpack Club will have 19 meetings in North Carolina and 4 out of state meetings. Not only will these meetings give people the opportunity to meet some of NC State’s coaches, but it will give fans an opportunity to be a part of “The Quest for 20,000” campaign by joining the Wolfpack Club.“I was fortunate to be able to participate in some Wolfpack Club Caravan meetings last year and it was really great to get out on the road and meet as many Wolfpackers as I did. The excitement around NC State Athletics is really special,” stated Coach Sidney Lowe NC State Men’s Basketball and current Wolfpack Club member.
