Gymnastics to Host Governor's Cup Friday Night

Raleigh, N.C. – The NC State gymnastics team will return to home action this Friday night, when the Pack plays host to North Carolina, Maryland and Towson in the annual Governor’s Cup. The meet is set for Friday at Reynolds Coliseum at 7:00 p.m.
NC State is coming off two road meets last weekend. The Pack fell at Rutgers and No. 19 Penn State in meets in back-to-back days. NC State won the event title in each rotation at Rutgers, and at Penn State won a share of the vault and the all-around titles.
The Wolfpack comes into the meet ranked No. 30 nationally, and second in the EAGL, with an average score of 192.725 with three away meets to just one at home thus far.
North Carolina is 38th nationally with an average of 191.358 a meet, and holds a 5-2 record on the season. Towson is 5-1 competing in the ECAC, and 40th with a 191.117 average. Maryland sits at No. 41, with a 2-6 record and an average score of 190.842.
