Men's Soccer Hosts Duke for Senior Day

Raleigh, N.C. The NC State men’s soccer team will host its final game of the season this weekend, playing host to ACC foe No. 21 Duke Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Method Road. The Wolfpack (6-7-3, 1-5-1 ACC) and the Blue Devils (10-6-1, 3-3-1 ACC) will each be playing in their last regular season contests before next week’s ACC Tournament. NC State will also be celebrating Senior Day, honoring five players before the game.
NC State will honor the following players prior to kickoff:
Phillip Foy Phillip joined the Pack this past spring and has seen action in 14 games this season, including making seven starts for the Wolfpack’s defense. Phillip is majoring in biology.
Tom DeStefano Tom came to NC State last year after a standout career at Mercer Community College. From Hamilton, New Jersey, Tom split time in the Wolfpack goal last season, as he led the Pack in saves and earned a shutout draw with No. 1 Clemson and this year he helped the Pack draw with No. 1 UCLA. Majoring in sports management, Tom hopes to attend grad school after NC State.
Ernesto Di Laudo Coming to NC State from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ernesto has been a key member of the Pack’s midfield all four of his seasons. Starting 55 games and playing in 67 during his Wolfpack career, Ernesto has constantly been one of the Pack’s hardest workers on both offense and defense. This season he is second on the team in goals. He is majoring in industrial engineering.
Hugh Cronin From Winston-Salem, Hugh has been a starter on the Pack’s backline each of the last three seasons. He has started all 51 games over that time span. This season, Hugh has played both on defense and in the center midfield, and has three assists thus far. He is majoring in business management with a concentration in marketing.
El Hadj Cisse From New York, El Hadj has started every game he has played with in a Wolfpack uniform. A 2006 ACC All-Tournament selection, he also was named to the 2004 ACC All-Freshman Team. This season, El Hadj leads the Pack in goals and is second in points. He is majoring in science technology and society.
