Women's tennis wraps up weekend at Harvard Invitational

The NC State women’s tennis team wrapped up its play at the Harvard Invitational on Sunday highlighted by Neils Barringer and Kristen Bleakley winning the Flight B doubles championship. Barringer added to her doubles championship by easily beating Elizabeth Brook of Harvard 6-1, 6-1.
Catherine Grotz lost a heartbreaking three set match to Stephanie Schnitter of Harvard. After dropping the first set 6-2 she came back to win the second set 6-4 before losing 10-5 in the final set. Kristen Bleakley also lost in a three set match. After taking the first set 6-2 from Samantha Rosekrans she dropped the second set 6-3 before losing the final set 10-2. After winning her first two matches of the weekend Lenka Hojckova lost her final match 6-3, 6-3 to Agnes Sibilski of Harvard.
This tournament concluded the fall season for the women's tennis team. They will be back in action for the spring season as they host Elon University on January 20 at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Complex.
