Raleigh, N.C. - A pair of NC State men's soccer players received ACC honors on Monday afternoon. Senior El Hadj Cisse was named to the All-ACC Second Team, while freshman Tyler Lassiter was named to the ACC All-Freshmen Team.
Cisse has previously been named to the ACC All-Freshmen Team in 2004, and was named to the ACC All-Tournament team last season.
For the fifth straight year the Pack has had a member on that squad. He follows Santiago Fusilier (2004), El Hadj Cisse (2005), Ronnie Bouemboue (2005), and Alan Sanchexz (2007) as NC State players to make the ACC All-Freshmen Team.
Cisse currently leads the Pack this season in goals (5) and is second in points (11). Lassiter has started all 17 games this far for the Pack, as an outside defender, and scored one goal on the season thus far.
NC State will battle Virginia in the ACC Tournament Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at SAS Soccer Stadium in Cary, N.C. The winner advances to take on top-seeded Boston College in Wednesday’s quarterfinals.
