Pitching Matchups Set For Weekend Series Games

RALEIGH, N.C. The second three-game series of NC State’s intrasquad Fall World Series will be this weekend, and the pitching matchups are set. In addition, the game time for Sunday’s game has been changed.
In game one, which will be Friday at 6:30 p.m., Eric Surkamp, Drew Taylor, Alex Sogard and Clayton Shunick will match up against Eryk McConnell, Jason Zinser, Sam Brown, Travis High and Joey Cutler.
The second game of the series, Saturday at 4:30 p.m., Jimmy Gillheeney, Grant Sasser and Jake Kensmoe will face Jake Buchanan, Gary Gillheeney and Vance Williams.
The final game of the weekend will be Sunday at 1 p.m. (note new game time; this was changed from 2 p.m.) and will feature the same cast of pitchers from the first game. Brown, Surkamp, Taylor, Sogard and Cutler will face High, McConnell, Zinser and Shunick.
All three games will be at Doak Field at Dail Park. Admission is free to the public.
