It will be the last regular season collegiate meet for six NC State seniors - Lindsay Barwegen, Kerry Whitson, Amy Baskwell, Melissa Jamerino, Laura Neely and Steve Cowling.
The next meet for the women will be on February 14 at the ACC Championships in Chapel Hill. The following week the men will compete in Chapel Hill at the ACC Championships on February 21.
Mellor Impressive Against North Carolina: Sophomore Stephen Mellor won two more events against North Carolina as his impressive debut season rolls on. Mellor leads the team in individual event wins with eleven, and has a team-high 16 top-5 finishes.
He has the fastest time on the team in the 200 back (1:46.27), 200 fly (1:51.63), 200 individual medley (1:49.42) and the 400 IM (3:53.08) and is second in the 100 back (50.10).

Lester Nearly Breaks Record Against Tar Heels: Andrew Lester has continually been one of the strongest swimmers for the men's team throughout the year having already competed in a team-leading nine seperate events this year. He continued his strong performances against North Carolina in the 1000 free.
He used a final leg time of 26.33 in order to post a time of 9:12.82. This was just over one-and-a-half seconds off of the school record and nearly four seconds faster than his lifetime best.
In the five times that Lester has competed in the 1000 free this year he has won four of them and finished second the other time. Lester currently has 14 top-5 finishes this year for the Wolfpack, second on the team behind Stephen Mellor's 16.
Andrea-Davies Impressive in First Two Collegiate Meets: Kristen Andrea-Davies has made quite an impression after her first two meets. In her first collegiate meet against South Carolina she finished second in the 1-meter board. In her second career-meet she finished second in both the 1 and 3-meter boards for the Wolfpack.
Freshman Duo Continue to Impress: The freshman combination of Anna Linkenauger and Jessica Stewart have performed quite well throughout the season. They have combined to post 5 top times this season for the Wolfpack in individual events.
Linkenauger has finished in the top-5 18 different times this season while competing in seven seperate events. That is five more top-5 finishes than any other swimmer this season. She holds the top times this season in the 200 back, 200 IM, and the 400 IM.
Stewart has been the top breaststroker this season for the Wolfpack. She has the top time in the 100 and 200 breast. Against the Tar Heels she finished second in the 200 breast.
Whitson, Barwegen Top Wolfpack Times: The senior duo are a formidable pair in the pool as they combine to lead the team in all six of the freestyle events for the Wolfpack. Whitson is first in the 50 free (23.87), 100 free (51.91) and 200 free (1:51.81) while Barwegen leads the team in the 500 free (4:56.41), 1000 free (10:15.20) and 1650 free (16:59.26). In addition, Whitson is second to Barwegen in the 500 free (4:58.23) and Barwegen is third to Whitson in the 200 free (1:53.78).
Roney Continues Improving: Junior Jack Roney has continued to improve over his career at NC State. As a freshman in 2005 he was named the Most Improved Swimmer, which is given to the man who has demonstrated the strongest focus and dedication. This season he has continued that improvement by posting the top time in the 100 and 200 breast. He has finished either first or second 4 out of the 6 times he has swam the 200 breast this season. Against North Carolina he won the 200 breast.
