Gymnastics Hits Road for Two Meets

Raleigh, N.C. – The No. 24 NC State gymnastics team will be busy this weekend, competing in two meets in two days. The Wolfpack (2-2) heads to Rutgers for a Friday night meet, then turns right around and will compete at No. 19 Penn State Saturday night.
The Wolfpack enters this weekend ranked No. 24 nationally, with an average score of 193.350 through two meets. The Pack has competed in one away and one home meet thus far. NC State is coming off a 194.625 against No. 2 Georgia, No. 24 Ohio State and Iowa last weekend. Leigha Hancock was named EAGL Specialist of the week, and Taylor Seaman earned EAGL Rookie of the Week honors in that meet.
Rutgers enters this weekend averaging 189.633 and a record of 5-1 after four meets this season. Penn State is No. 19 nationally with a 193.692 average through three meets this season.
The Wolfpack will return to home action next weekend, hosting the Governor’s Cup against North Carolina, Maryland and Towson Friday at 7:00 p.m.
