Gymnastics Falls at Auburn

NC State started the evening on bars, and came away with a team score of 48.400. Two freshmen led the way for the Pack on bars, notching the teams highest scores. Taylor Seaman finished third with a score of 9.75, followed by classmate Lauren Deuser in fifth with a 9.725. Seniors Rachel Katz and Amanda Jones each had a 9.65.
The Pack then moved over to vault and once again came away with a 48.400. Seaman once again had the Pack’s top score, tying teammate junior Kelsey Lee with a 9.725 for fourth place. Katz scored a 9.7, while junior Leigha Hancock had a 9.675.
NC State was on floor on the third rotation, but scored just a 47.325. Sophomore Ashley Shepard finished fifth with a score of 9.65. Junior Heather Zolton finished with a 9.55, while Lee had a 9.5.
The Pack would finish the meet on beam, and scored a 47.950. Hancock would score the Pack’s highest score on the day, a 9.8 for third place. Deuser was close behind in fifth with a 9.725.
NC State will have its first home meet of the season next Sunday afternoon, hosting
Ohio
State and
