Andi's Anecdotes: First Win Under Our Belts

What can I say, we finally won! First off, I just want to thank everybody for coming out this weekend and supporting us. The atmosphere and the intensity in the gym was amazing. Thanks to our great fans. Despite our showing last weekend, we came back and had three extremely good practices this week that prepared us well for this weekend. We started off the weekend with an intense match against Winthrop, in which we battled and gave it all we had, but came up short. But we picked our heads up, and won the next match against UT-Chattanooga. Overall, this weekend showed us that we still need to work hard to become mentally stronger, cut down on our unforced errors and pick up the intensity.
We are headed to Ohio this week for out last preseason tournament at Kent University. Even though we don’t have the home court advantage, we will have a packed house. Personally, I have around 20 family members and friends attending the games. In addition, Ashley Wallace who’s originally from Ohio, will have her extended family there cheering us on, as well as a coach who is Ohio bound. We are coming off a great week of practice, probably the best all year, and we hope to carry the hard work and intensity into this weekends play.
