FORMER NC STATE POINT GUARD CHRIS CORCHIANI is looking to help out a ailing former co-worker on Sunday afternoon by conducting a three-hour basketball clinic at First Presbyterian Church at 120 W. Hargett Stree in downtown Raleigh.
The clinic is for kids ages 6-12 and runs from 1-4 p.m. The cost is $40 per child. Proceeds from the clinic will go to assist the medical bills of Gayle Johnson, who worked with Corchiani at York Simpson Underwood and is now fighting cervical cancer.
“She is faced with a very difficult situation, having to be away from work, and we all thought we could do something to help,” said Corchiani, who set the NCAA's career record for assists while playing for the Wolfpack from 1988-91. “We have all been affected by cancer in one way or another and I figured if I could give up three hours on a Sunday afternoon, it would be a great way to help someone out.”
For more information about the clinic, see the attached brochure and registration form.
