Two Rounds in the Books at Cougar Classic

The tournament is hosted by the College of Charleston women's golf team as 18 other schools in the 2006 Cougar Classic that begins Monday at Yeamans Hall Club.
Also in the field are Alabama, Campbell, Florida State, Furman, Georgia State, Kentucky, Louisiana State, Maryland, Miami, Mississippi, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Richmond, South Florida, Tennessee and UNC Greensboro.
Tennessee won last year's tournament, finishing two shots ahead of Georgia in the season-opening tournament. Tennessee sophomore Marci Turner was the individual medalist.
Opening ceremonies Monday are scheduled to begin at 8:15 a.m., with more than 700 pink balloons on display representing a donation of between $3,000 and $4,000 to the Lowcountry affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
A double round is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. Monday, with a single final round to follow on Tuesday.
