NC State women’s soccer (2-0-1) hosts Elon (1-2) on Sunday, September 3 at 1 p.m. at Method Road Soccer Stadium. The Wolfpack enters the match after finishing scoreless with Wyoming on Friday, September 1. Elon’s head coach Chris Webb enters her second season after leading the team to a 5-11-3 finish in 2005, and finishing 3-6-1 in the Southern Conference. Four of the top five scorers returned for the Phoenix, and the team welcomed a recruiting class ranked 94th nationally, 19th regionally. In the team’s season opener, Elon’s Ashley Condon and Tina Longo scored goals against Campbell. The Phoenix is coming off a loss to UNC Wilmington, 2-0, on Wednesday, to make the program’s record 1-2.
