Brackman Makes Debut with Team USA

Andrew Brackman just got his feet wet with the U.S. National Team on Wednesday night, pitching an inning of shutout baseball in an exhibition game against the Fayetteville Swamp Dogs. The next time the NC State right-hander pitches for his country, the stakes will be much higher. Now

Brackman, a rising junior at NC State, joined the U.S. National Team just this week as a replacement for Cal State Fullerton’s Wes Roemer, who left the squad due to an illness in the family.
In his one inning relief stint on Wednesday, Brackman faced four batters and allowed one base hit. He was one of five pitchers who combined on a two-hitter in Team
With Saturday’s performance, the U.S. National Team lowered its team ERA to 1.33 on the summer.
