Wolfpack Golf Keeping Busy

NC State women's golf has been keeping busy this summer competing in several amateur events. Currently the Wolfpack has four competing in the 104th North and South Women's Amatuer at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C. July 17-24. In addition, junior Jessica Vincent qualified for the US Women's Amateur on July 6, at the Sapona Country Club in Lexington, N.C.
Recent graduate Lorraine Ballerano, along with current team members, senior Nancy Mountcastle, junior Lauren Harling and sophomore Lauren Doughtie each qualified for match play set to begin on Wednesday, July 19.
Vincent will compete against a field of 156 top women athletes ying for the most coveted title in women's amateur golf. The 106th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship will be contested on the Witch Hollow Course at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, one of America's top-rated private golf courses. The 106th US Women's Am runs from Aug. 7-13.
