NC State head women's golf coach Page Marsh has announced the hiring of Ashlee Dean as assistant coach, effective June 1, 2006. Dean, a former Wolfpack women's golf team member, served as a student assistant in 2005-06.
Dean left her mark in NC State women's golf record books after she completed her senior year with a 76.4 season stroke average and became the program's first player to earn All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in 2005.
The Hendersonville, N.C. native is ranked fourth in career stroke average with 77.7 after 55 rounds in her two seasons with the Wolfpack. She is also ranked second all-time for her 54-hole tournament total of 219 shot at the 2004 Mason Rudolph Classic, in which her score of 70 in the second round is sixth all-time in the Wolfpack records. Dean's 55 total rounds ranks her seventh all-time as a career total after just two seasons.
