Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2006 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor softball's Lisa Gott and football'sJonathan Macrae.

Lisa Gott has made the transition from high school to college look easy. She's fit right in with the NC State Women's Softball team. And in the classroom, the freshman from Apex, North Carolina, has posted an impressive 3.72 Total Grade Point Average in her Biological Sciences Major. Lisa's fabulous freshman year also included being named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2005 and spring of 2006.

Jonthan Macrae gets his kicks punting the ball for the NC State Football team. The sophomore from Fayetteville, North Carolina, also knows how to put up impressive numbers in the classroom. Jonathan has compiled a 3.59 Total Grade Point Average in his Parks Recreation and Tourism major. Jonathan has made the NC State Dean's List three out of his four semesters on campus. He also was named to the ACC Honor Roll for the 2004-2005 academic year.
Congratulations to both Lisa and Jonathan and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
