Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor gymnastics' Mackenzie Payne and cross country's Robert Bedsole.

Mackenzie Payne sure knows how to make the grade. She's put up great marks in her sport of gymnastics, and saved her best for the classroom. The freshman from Roanoke, Virginia, has compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in her First Year College major. Mackenzie was also named to the NC State Dean's List for the fall semester of 2005.

It's tough to keep pace with Robert Bedsole. He's a standout on the NC State Men's Cross Country team. Plus, he's a standout scholar-athlete. The freshman from Bessemer, Alabama, has compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in his Biomedical Engineering major. Robert also made the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2005.
Congratulations to both Mackenzie and Robert and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
