Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor gymnastics' Ashley Shepard and football's Andy Barbee.

Plus, she's achieving top marks in the classroom. Ashley has compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in her Microbiology major. She was also named to the NC State Dean's List for the fall semester of 2005.

Andy Barbee doesn't back down from competition. He's a center on the NC State Football team, and a standout in the classroom. The redshirt freshman from Shelby, North Carolina, has compiled a 3.86 Total Grade Point Average in his First Year College major. Andy was also named to the NC State Dean's List for the fall semester of 2005.
Congratulations to both Ashley and Andy and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
