Lisa Nentwig went 3-for-3 with a two-run, game-winning double as NC State (25-10, 3-0 ACC) completed the three-game sweep of Boston College (7-10, 0-3 ACC). In the 7-6 come-from-behind win, the Wolfpack took a 5-1 lead before falling behind 6-5 deep into the fifth inning. Nentwig doubled to right center to drive in the tying and go-ahead runs with two outs and Abbie Sims (S, 1) recorded her first save of the season as NC State won its seventh straight game overall. Shaina Ervin (W, 6-2) pitched two innings of relief for the win and struck out three while allowing one run on three hits.

The Eagles took its first lead of the game in the first as Jenna Macchi hit her first home run of the season with two outs for the 1-0 lead.

Jen Chamberlin homered in the bottom of the first, her second of the series and fifth of the season, to tie the score.

Four runs on two hits gave NC State a 5-1 lead in the second as Sims walked, Nentwig singled and Ashleigh Davis walked to load the bases with one out. Tess Corona was hit by a pitch and Heather Gelbard reached on an error to force in two runs. Shanna Smith followed with a triple, her third of the season, to drive in a pair of runs for a 5-1 Wolfpack advantage.

The Eagles answered with four runs off of starter Megan Dalthorp in the third - thanks in part to a three-run home run from Brittany Thompson - to tie the score at 5-5. Macchi doubled in a run off of Ervin in the fifth to give the Eagles the lead, 6-5.

It would be a short-lived lead however, as Nentwig ripped the Savana Lloyd offering into right center to drive in a pair of runs with two-outs for the winning runs.

Sims pitched the sixth and seventh innings and didn't give up a hit while striking out three for her fourth career save.

The Wolfpack softball team heads to East Carolina on Wednesday for a non-conference doubleheader before hosting ACC foe Virginia Tech for a three-game set March 25-26.
