Gymnastics Places 14 on EAGL All-Academic Team

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State gymnastics team placed 14 members on the 2006 EAGL All-Academic Team, it was announced by EAGL officials on Monday. A total of 89 scholar-athletes from the eight East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) schools were named overall. The Wolfpack had the second-highest total of gymnasts on the list among league schools, with seven athletes being honored for the first time, and another seven once again reappearing on the All-Academic Team.
In order to be named to the EAGL All-Academic team, student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the two previous semesters. Freshmen are also eligible if they earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester.
Of the 89 gymnasts, six were honored for the fourth time in their careers. Kylah Bachman (York, Pa.) of North Carolina State was named to the EAGL All-Academic Team for the fourth time straight year.
