Lewton Fires One Under Second Round

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico - Stephen Lewton shot one under par in the second round of the Puerto Rico Classic to lead the NC State men's golf team Monday at the Rio Mar Country Club's par 72 River Course. The Wolfpack moves into a three-way tie for ninth place at nine over and Lewton is tied for 17th individually at one under.
Jerry Richardson shot par for the second round and is tied for 34th place at two over. Nathan Spoon matched his first round score of two over in round two and is tied for 47th at four over. Taylor Crosby also matched his first round score and trails Darren Blair, who is nine over, by one stroke.
Oklahoma State torched the course for a 16 under second round, taking a one stroke lead in the who's who field of 18 that includes 16 top 44 squads, 10 top 20s and the nation's No. 1-4. The Cowboys' Pablo Martin followed a first round 68 with a second round 67 to take over first place individually at nine under.
