
NC State Wrestling Defeats Virginia Tech 25-21

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The NC State wrestling team picked up a road victory in the final regular season match of the season, defeating Virginia Tech Feb. 19 at Cassell Coliseum. The Wolfpack improves to 11-5-1, 3-2-1 ACC with the win and the Hokies fall to 1-16, 1-4 ACC with the loss.
Garrett Cummings won a 9-4 decision against Virginia Tech's Sheridan Moran at 133 pounds. Joe Caramanica picked up a 19-2 victory by technical fall at 149 pounds over Tech's Joe Thompson and Kody Hamrah pinned Dave Kiley in 0:41 seconds at 157 pounds.
Jeremy Colbert won at 184 pounds by technical fall over the Hokies' Mark Czarny, 17-0. The Wolfpack's Ryan Goodman won by forfeit at 197 pounds.
Both teams return to the mats at the ACC Championships on March 4 at Virginia Military Institute.
